Christmas Lights in Orlando 2026: Free Displays, Light Shows and Drive-Thrus

Christmas lights searches in Orlando start climbing in late October and peak in December. If you're planning ahead, good: the best holiday light events here are timed-entry and sell out on the weekends closest to Christmas.

Here are the Christmas lights and holiday displays in and around Orlando for 2026, from free tree lightings to the big ticketed shows. Dates are from each event's 2026 announcement. Confirm on the official sites before you go; holiday schedules shift.

Free Christmas lights in Orlando

Lake Eola tree lighting (downtown Orlando)

The City of Orlando lights its tree at Lake Eola Park on Friday, December 4, 2026, from 5:30 to 9:30 PM at Washington Plaza. It's free, with holiday performances at the amphitheater and food trucks. The tree stays lit through the season, and walking the lake loop after dark is one of the easiest free holiday nights in the city.

Winter Park

Winter Park does two free nights on back-to-back evenings:

• Christmas in the Park at the Morse Museum, December 3, 2026, 6:15 to 8:30 PM. The museum sets out its Tiffany stained glass windows in Central Park with the Bach Festival Choir. It's a quiet, lovely night.
• Winter on the Avenue, with the tree lighting, December 4, 2026, 5 to 9 PM in Central Park and along Park Avenue.

I-Drive tree lighting

The I-Drive District holiday tree lighting is November 20, 2026 at 6 PM at 8375 International Drive. It's free and a good early start to the season if you're staying in the tourist corridor.

Celebration

The town of Celebration near Kissimmee is known for its nightly "snowfall" in Market Street during the holiday season, made from soap foam. In past years it has run from late November through December 31 at set times each evening. It's free. Check Celebration Town Center's site for the 2026 schedule.

Neighborhood lights

Every year a few Orlando neighborhoods go all out, and they change year to year. The most reliable way to find this year's best streets is local Facebook groups and the "christmas lights orlando reddit" threads that start in early December. Drive slowly, keep your lights low and don't block driveways.

Ticketed light events

Dazzling Nights at Leu Gardens

Dazzling Nights is back at Harry P. Leu Gardens for its seventh season, on select nights from November 20, 2026 through January 3, 2027. It's a walking path of light installations through the gardens, and new this year is a 50-foot illuminated snowman in the Rose Garden with live holiday music. Tickets start at $35, timed entry starts at 5:30 PM, and kids 3 and under are free. Buy online; tickets are for a specific date and time.

ICE! at Gaylord Palms

Not lights exactly, but the most popular holiday event in Central Florida. The 2026 theme is The Polar Express, November 13, 2026 through January 3, 2027, in a room kept at 9°F. Our full ICE! guide covers tickets, parking and what to wear.

Christmas at the theme parks

All of these are included with park admission unless noted.

• Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party at Magic Kingdom runs 25 select nights, November 8 to December 22, from 7 PM to midnight. It's a separate ticket ($189 to $229 plus tax), and several nights have already sold out.
• EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays runs November 27 to December 30, with holiday food booths around World Showcase and the Candlelight Processional.
• Holidays at Universal Orlando run November 14, 2026 through January 3, 2027, including Grinchmas, the holiday parade and Christmas in The Wizarding World of Harry Potter.
• SeaWorld's Christmas Celebration runs on select dates from November 6 through January 3.

Drive-thru lights

Drive-thru shows are great with toddlers who will fall asleep in the car anyway.

• Magic of Lights at Daytona International Speedway runs November 20, 2026 to January 2, 2027. You drive over a mile of light displays inside the speedway. It's about an hour from Orlando, so pair it with dinner in Daytona.
• Dasher's Lightshow at The Florida Mall has run a drive-thru in recent seasons with tickets per car. Check its ticket page for 2026 dates before you plan around it.

Tips for seeing Christmas lights in Orlando

• Go on a weeknight. Weekend nights in mid-December are the busiest for every event on this list.
• Book timed tickets early for Dazzling Nights and ICE!. The weeks of December 14 and December 21 go first.

• Do something outside during the day. December days are usually sunny and in the low to mid 70s, the best weather of the year to be outdoors.

A daytime pick: bottle-feed baby highland cows

If you want a holiday outing that isn't after dark, Mini Moo Land at Boggy Creek in Kissimmee has a new herd of baby highland calves you can bottle-feed at 10 AM, 1 PM and 4 PM. The VIP bottle feeding is $65 and includes admission; general admission to pet and hand-feed the herd starts at $29.99. Fluffy cows in Christmas photos is a very easy win.
