"Highland cows near me" is a surprisingly big search, and most people want the same thing: to pet the fluffy ones, and if they're lucky, bottle-feed a baby. Near Orlando, the easiest place to do both is Mini Moo Land in Kissimmee.
I work with Boggy Creek Airboat Adventures, where Mini Moo Land lives, so here's exactly how a visit works.
Where it is
Mini Moo Land is inside Boggy Creek Airboat Adventures at 2001 E. Southport Rd. in Kissimmee, about 35 minutes from Disney. It's open daily, 9 AM to 5 PM.
What you can do
- Meet the herd. A gentle group of highland cows with the long bangs and shaggy coats you've seen online. The regulars include Hershey, Milo, Biscuit, Cocoa, Mocha, Tipper and Smokey.
- Pet, hand-feed and cuddle them. The team guides every interaction and gives you approved feed.
- Bottle-feed a baby calf. With the VIP Bottle Feeding Experience, you hold the bottle while a baby highland calf drinks, with a team member right beside you for photos.
Tickets
- Mini Moo Land admission: $29.99 per guest, with infants 2 and under free. Includes the herd, petting and cuddling, and approved feed. See the admission deal.
- VIP Bottle Feeding Experience: $65 per guest, admission included. Feedings run daily at 10 AM, 1 PM and 4 PM in small groups. See the bottle-feeding deal.
Booking through our links takes 10% off automatically on Mini Moo Land's own checkout.
Bottle feeding tips
- Book ahead. Feedings are small groups, and weekends and holidays fill first. Walk-ups are welcome when there's space.
- Pick 10 AM for a cooler visit in summer, or 4 PM for softer light in photos.
- Wear closed-toe shoes and clothes you don't mind getting a little farm on.
- Bring your phone charged. The team will help you get photos, and you'll want a lot of them.
Make it a day
Mini Moo Land is on the same property as the airboat tours, so you can do both without driving. The 1 hour airboat tour + Mini Moo Land combo costs less than buying them separately. See the combo, or read which Boggy Creek airboat tour to book.
Are the cows really that soft?
Yes. Highland cattle have a double coat: a long, wavy outer layer and a soft, fluffy undercoat. The babies are the fluffiest of all, which is why they're all over social media. They also don't stay babies for long, so if bottle-feeding is on your list, go soon.
