Theme park New Year's Eve

Magic Kingdom and EPCOT

Disney World lists New Year's Eve fireworks at Magic Kingdom and EPCOT on December 31, 2026, with times to be announced. Last year Magic Kingdom ran its New Year's fireworks twice, at 7:30 PM and 11:50 PM, and EPCOT ran a midnight show over World Showcase.

What to know:

• The parks can close to new guests on New Year's Eve when they hit capacity, even if you have a ticket. Get there early and don't leave once you're in.
• Park hopping is a gamble that night. Pick one park.
• Disney Springs has not had New Year's fireworks in recent years, though it's busy and festive.

Universal Orlando

Universal says guests can ring in the new year at Epic Universe, Universal Studios Florida, Islands of Adventure and CityWalk, with DJs, live entertainment and a midnight countdown. CityWalk's New Year's Eve celebration runs from 4 PM to 2 AM on December 31. Some CityWalk venues sell separate New Year's packages with reserved space and drinks, and those sell out.

SeaWorld Orlando

SeaWorld's Christmas Celebration runs through January 3 and includes New Year's Eve fireworks on December 31. SeaWorld has offered reserved seating for the midnight show in past years, which beats standing in a crowd for an hour.

New Year's Eve parties outside the parks

Sunset Walk (Kissimmee)

Sunset Walk at Margaritaville Resort Orlando is holding Rocking New Year 2027 on Thursday, December 31, 7 PM to 2 AM: an all-ages street party with a midnight mirror ball drop and fireworks. Advance tickets are sold online. No outside food or drinks, chairs, blankets or umbrellas.

Fun Spot America Kissimmee

Fun Spot's Kissimmee park has put on a New Year's Eve drone show just before midnight. It's a good family option with rides and a lower price than the theme parks. Check Fun Spot's site for 2026.

Old Town Kissimmee and Mount Dora

Old Town on Highway 192 holds a free New Year's celebration most years. If you'd rather have a small-town night, Mount Dora, about 45 minutes northwest of Orlando, has drawn thousands to its downtown New Year's Eve celebration in recent years.

Downtown Orlando

Downtown's bars and rooftops along Orange Avenue and around Church Street throw ticketed New Year's parties every year. Buy ahead; the good ones sell out, and walk-in covers on the night are higher.

Family-friendly New Year's Eve

Kids won't make it to midnight? You have options.

• Magic Kingdom's early fireworks, if Disney repeats last year's 7:30 PM show.
• Fun Spot's drone show is close to midnight but low-key, with rides to keep kids awake.

Tips for New Year's Eve in Orlando

• Plan your ride home first. Rideshare prices surge hard after midnight, especially leaving Disney, Universal and downtown. Book a hotel close to where you're celebrating if you can.
