WonderWorks is the upside-down building on International Drive, and it's one of the best indoor stops in Orlando for kids and teens. Here's what's included, how long to plan and when to go.
What WonderWorks is
WonderWorks is an indoor science attraction with over 100 hands-on exhibits. Highlights include:
- Standing in hurricane-force winds (up to 74 mph)
- Lying on a bed of nails
- Landing a space shuttle in a simulator
- Designing and riding your own roller coaster
- Giant bubbles big enough to stand inside
Downstairs, the ticket also covers a glow-in-the-dark ropes course, laser tag and a 4D motion ride. A lot of people miss the basement, so make sure you go down.
Where it is
WonderWorks is at 9067 International Drive, at Pointe Orlando. It's a few minutes from ICON Park, so it pairs well with The Wheel or SEA LIFE.
How long to spend
Most families spend three to four hours. Teens who get into laser tag and the ropes course can stay longer.
Hours and when to go
WonderWorks stays open into the evening, which makes it an easy pick after dinner or on a rainy afternoon. Two things to know:
- Last tickets are accepted about 2 hours before closing. Arriving late can mean a short visit.
- Weekday mornings and late evenings are quietest. Midday on weekends and holidays is busiest.
Hours change by season, so check today's hours before you go.
Tickets
As of October 2026, WonderWorks tickets on Viator started around $40 per person, including the exhibits, ropes course, laser tag and 4D ride. See current WonderWorks prices.
Make it a night
The Outta Control Magic Dinner Show is inside the same building, with unlimited pizza, salad, dessert, beer and wine. Shows start at 6 PM nightly, and combo tickets cover both. Do the exhibits first, then dinner. See the Outta Control show.
Tips
- Wear closed-toe shoes for the ropes course.
- Go when it's hottest or raining. It's all indoors.
- Don't save the basement for last if you're short on time.
